在日常的工作中，对于一个网络管理员来讲最悲哀的事情莫过于在没有备用管理员账户和密码恢复盘的情况下遗忘了本地管理员账户密码。
在早期的系统中，遇到这种事情可以使用目前国内的很多Windows PE光盘来解决。但是，对于Windows Server 2008 R2来讲，只靠简单的这些操作是暂时无法解决密码问题的。
但是，可以通过替换文件，使用变通的方法，可以在绕过登录的情况下，使用命令提示行方式，添加本地管理员账户或修改管理员账户密码。

Change your MTU under Vista or Windows 7

This information is available in many many other places, however I am putting it on here because I know it will be here for me to refer to. Also it is handy, as I know I can access my web-site even if the MTU is misconfigured.

For some reason that has escaped me Path MTU Discovery in Windows just doesn’t seem to figure out the MTU for a given path (something to do with routers being poorly configured to not respond to ICMP requests). So Windows uses the default. For the most part this doesn’t affect anyone, however if it dos affect you, it really annoys you. Failure of PMTUD will result in some websites not loading correctly, having trouble connecting to normally reliable online services and general Internet weirdness.

利用Windows部署服务通过网络批量安装Windows 7

WDS是Windows Deployment Services缩写，中文意思是Windows部署服务。WDS适用于大中型企业部署大批量新计算机和重装客户端，通过WDS来管理多版本映像以及无人参与安装脚本，并提供人工参与安装和无人参与安装的选项。

Windows部署服务是RIS(远程安装服务)的升级版,可以使用从Windows映像文件(WIM)安装windows操作系统,所以我们可以利用windows部署服务可以安装Vista和Windows 7.

问题阐述：

经常在新配置的服务器连接微软更新网站打补丁时，无法打开更新网站，经查，解析不正常，通过ipconfig 清理缓存也没有使用，打开其它网站正常。

问题解决：

在服务里停用DNS Client （运行栏输入services.msc，打开服务控制台，停止名称为DNS Client的服务）

或

C:\>net stop dnscache

DNS Client 服务已成功停止。

DNS Client：为此计算机解析和缓冲域名系统(DNS)名称。如果此服务被停止，计算机将不能解析 DNS 名称并定位 Active Directory 域控制器。如果此服务被禁用，任何明确依赖它的服务将不能启动。服务名称为dnscache。

手动注册Microsoft Project Web Access ActiveX控件
    当您第一次启动 Microsoft Project Web Access 时，会提示您下载一个ActiveX控件，由于IE配置的各不相同，可能导致ActiveX控件，无法下载安装。

How to set up Windows Deployment Services on 2003 SP2 Servers for Installs of Windows 2003 and XP

Service Pack 2 for Windows Server 2003 ("W2K3" in this post) includes Windows Deployment Services ("WDS"). WDS replaces Remote Installation Services (“RIS”) on W2K3 SP1 and Windows 2000 servers. Upgrading from RIS to WDS is NOT covered here (see: Windows Deployment Services Update Step-by-Step Guide for Windows Server 2003 on TechNet Below is how to set up WDS from scratch, when RIS was not used previously. In other words, WDS in Mixed Mode on a 2003 SP2 server can:

1) install Legacy operating systems (Windows 2003, XP, and 2000) without an existing RIS infrastructure

2) use the WDS management tools, and

3) install Windows Vista and Windows 2008 server from the same 2003 server.
